This one is going to cause some cognitive dissonance, because many of the people you trust and rely upon for financial insights (including others here at this firm) are bullish on bonds and think that interest rates will go even lower.

So you’ve heard this before. We are going to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, encourage the substitution of labor for capital, and pretty soon you’ll walk into a fast food place and you’ll be ordering from a robot. Not a dream. It is a reality.

Kathryn Schulz has written a book about being wrong. It’s called Being Wrong. I thought it was interesting subject matter, but couldn’t get excited about the book. Then again, she writes for The New Yorker, and I write The 10th Man.

We just got through another Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting (something I hope to never attend), where Warren Buffett gave us an update on his “hedge funds vs. S&P 500” bet.
