Commodities and copper
March 29, 2011
I pay attention to Simon Hunt (based in London), as he spend much of the year on the ground in China and Asia going to factories and looking at the consumption of commodities, especially copper, and how the supply chain is working, prices, etc. He has been very good on price, and he has been doing this for decades. one quote from this brief interview with him is worth thinking about: So regardless of the impact of Japan's tragedy, we are starting slowly and it will accelerate in the next three to five years, a movement of the supply chain out of China and out of the rest of Asia, back into Europe and back into North America.
